Hope Wollensack - Executive Director

 Hope Wollensack supports task force research, engaging members of the community, and authoring the report to accompany the task force’s final findings. Hope brings a decade of experience as an educator, leading campaigns, and driving advocacy strategies in service of progressive change.

Hope has authored reports examining historic roots and ongoing policies that perpetuate inequality. Most notably, she has authored work aimed at developing an economic framework for reparations and understanding the role education plays in perpetuating and codifying inequality. Hope also helped found Overcoming Racism, an organization committed to building more equitable institutions, where she developed racial justice and equity framework to help major school districts uncover and establish the extent to which systems drive racially disparate outcomes.

A public servant by training, Hope started her career as a history teacher and organizer and remains committed to developing policy solutions with communities that build power. Hope joins this initiative after working on the Stacey Abrams gubernatorial campaign and subsequently as a founding member of Fair Fight.

Hope earned her MPA from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Tufts University.
